The Courage Brothers formed when two long time friends that had lost touch over the years began writing songs together in 1989, after they discovered they were both living in the Boston area. With the release of "Something Strong" in 1991 they captured the attention of press, radio, and industry insiders, who recognized the hit potential of the band's songs. The album was produced by Rob Jaczko, who has also worked with Bruce Springsteen and Don Henley.
